How far along? 12 Weeks, 4 Days
Maternity clothes? With this being my 4th pregnancy, I found that my regular jeans just were not as comfy as maternity pants. I still fit my jeans but the stretchy band on my maternity jeans is just SO much better!
Stretch marks? No new ones.
Belly Button in or out? In, it never popped when prego with Evie, so I have no idea what will happen this time round.
Sleep: I am super tired come noon/1 pm and all I want is a nap. I find myself waking up several times in the night needing a drink of water, or to use the washroom. So my sleep has not been consistent. I have also been waking around 4am and cannot get back to sleep.
Best moment this week: Getting to share the news with all our family, friends, and all of you!
Worst moment this week: I have been having some very bad migraines this time round, thankfully chiro has been a huge help with that.
Movement: I am wanting to say yes, that I have felt some little flutters this week in the same spot where I can find the heart rate on the doppler my friend lent me. By the way the heart rate is 168 bpm.
Food cravings: Chocolate milk, salt & vinegar chips, Sour Cream & Chives crackers (that I cannot find any where!), orange juice, anything pizza-ish, and Indian food… bring on the spices. Lots of similar cravings I had with Evie.
Miss Anything? Does sleep count? I would really love a solid nights sleep. I could really go for sushi, and I miss taking a tuna sandwhich in my lunch.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I thankfully have no had morning sickness, but some smells do make me a bit queasy, or if I haven’t had enough to eat the night before I am starving and really queasy in the morning. As for things that make me queasy BO is a terrible offender, sea food, and burgers have all set me off to feeling like my stomach is doing the wave.
Have you started to show yet: I have the lovely “food baby” tummy going on, where it looks like I’ve just eaten too much.
Gender prediction: Evie was the first to say it’s a girl, Jason and I agree with her.
Looking forward to: My first big prenatal appointment this week with the doctor who delivered Evie. I will be going to a prenatal clinic again this whole pregnancy as my family doctor does not do deliveries.
This is our little one around 8 weeks. I was sent for a dating ultrasound to check how far along I was, and to confirm all was well. With having had miscarriages my doctor had me go for regular blood work to make sure my hormones were increasing as they should be, and wanted to see how the baby was doing. We were so nervous to go for the ultrasound, and so happy to see the baby on the screen and hear that all was well. Evie kept saying “Baby! It’s a baby!”.

Thank you for sharing!! Ultrasound pictures always amaze me. Psalm 139 always comes to mind.
I hope the queasiness clears up quickly, especially burgers since summer and bbq season are fast approaching.
I love the picture of you. You are positively glowing!

The only time I’ve craved chocolate milk like CRAZY was when I was pregnant with Koen. Maybe it’s a boy?! 🙂 Glad to hear all is well.

So excited for you! I too had a miscarriage before my first, and then another one before my second (so I suppose my live births were actually 2 and 4). It’s so scary those first few weeks, never knowing. My first miscarriage was a second trimester one, and that was so tough. With both my live births, it wasn’t until I saw a heartbeat that I actually was able to breathe again!
Dr. Rai will do wonders during your pregnancy! I went through both mine, and he helped so much with severe sciatica.
🙂 Can’t wait to hear boy/girl! But regardless, praying for a healthy, uneventful pregnancy for you
