Everly went to the doctor the other day for her two month check up. We already knew she was a whole lot heavier and taller than when she was born. She has out grown a lot of her sleepers and outfits already.
Everly has gone from being 7lbs 7oz to 12lbs and 4oz, she was 20inches long at birth and is now 4 inches taller! I’d say she is going quite well despite the reflux situation, and we’ve been having days where we feel like we need a rain poncho when around her. Apparently she is a lot like her Mom, I apparently also got tall quickly and gained weight no problem. Seems she takes after me a lot, sorry Jason she’s mini me.
She was really good during the visit to the doctor. They are great about only having us take her out of the diaper at the very last minute so she does not get cold and grumpy.
Tomorrow we are taking her for a chiropractor appointment. I’ve been looking into this a little bit, and I’ve been putting it off as it freaked me out a bit. After a lot of research and talking with the chiropractor we are taking her in. We’ll let you know how that goes afterwards.
Some people have been asking about her eye. Everly was born with a droopy eye lid. Poor girl got squashed on one side for a while, so when she was born that whole side of her face was swollen. She also has a blocked tear duct that they are keeping a watch on. We are massaging the duct to try and help it. If it stays blocked she may need it probed when she is older. The earliest they would do that is 6 months old. She is however seeing a pediatrician specialist in March to check out the reflux again and to look at her eye lid and tear duct. Despite everything we are blessed with a very happy baby who loves her sleep at night.
