20 weeks! Half way there! I feel like this pregnancy is going past so much quicker than when we were expecting Evie. I almost want it to slow down a little bit. We found out this weekend that we are expecting another little GIRL! We all had a huge feeling this baby was a girl, especially Evie, but it was still a wonderful surprise. Bring on all the pink, but I will of course have lots of blues added in there. I love a pretty teal or navy blue outfit for a little girl. We seriously could not be any happier, and I cannot wait for Evie to experience being a big sister.
How far along? 20Weeks, 5 Days as of now
Gender: GIRL!!!!
Weight Gain/Loss: at my last prenatal appointment I had actually lost several pounds, this was at my 18 weeks appointment. It will be interesting to see where things are at at my next check up. I was told my that my ideal would be 0 – 20lbs gained. We’ll see what happens in the last trimester.
Maternity clothes? I am incredibly bitter about this. My two favourite capri maternity pants bit the dust recently. It’s been hot out and I have no weather appropriate capris now. The store I got them from closed, and I have yet to find any at the other local maternity stores. Being plus size and pregnant sucks when it comes to fashion. I wish I knew how to sew, if I did I would be making my own by now.
Stretch marks? Just the ones from last time still. I know I will likely end up with a few new ones and that is okay with me.
Belly Button in or out? I don’t think I am going to have a popping belly button. I would be surprised if it did.
Sleep: What is sleep? I’ve been waking up a lot during the night. Stupid bathroom runs. It’s really playing havoc on getting a good nights sleep. Don’t even sat that it is “getting me ready to deal with a newborn”… nothing gets you ready for that little amount of sleep.
Best moment this week: Having a 3D ultrasound done at home so that we can find out the gender and get a little sneak peak at baby. I have my detailing medical ultrasound this coming week, and I can’t wait for that. Praying to hear that all is well, all fingers and toes are accountable.
Worst moment this week: I am extremely emotional. Sorry hubby! He has definitely seen the worst of it. I am moody for sure.
Movement: The kicks have become so much stronger recently. I have felt them a few times through my tummy. Jason has yet to get to, but I’m sure he will soon. It makes things more interesting, and the pregnancy seem even more real when you feel those movements.
Food cravings: I would love some good bbq cooking. Bring on chicken breast, and baked potatoes done on the bbq. Thankfully the weather is totally allowing for bbqing.
Miss Anything? Not dealing with prego brain. I am very forgetful recently. I am finding myself triple checking before I leave to go anywhere.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Thankfully no.
Have you started to show yet: Can’t miss the round belly now.
Labor signs: none and it can stay that way for awhile, not til this baby is officially fully baked.
Wedding rings on or off: They still fit just fine! They fit the whole time when I was pregnant with Evie, hoping it will be the same this time too.
Looking forward to: Summer vacation. I am over the craziness of work, and stress that comes with it. I am so ready for maternity leave already and getting to be home daily with my family. Don’t get me wrong I do love the career I have, but I love being a mom even more. Come summer vacation, it means I am even closer to being home for a full year.
Ultrasound at home. Such a great experience.
Our little princess has very defined facial features, and very long legs.
