34 weeks and counting. Soon I will be able to say that I am exactly one month away from due day! That fact boggles my mind a bit. We still have lots to do around our house to get ready. For example we are still trying to get our oldest switched over to her big girl room so that we can get the nursery all set for baby girl. I am back to work this week after having had the summer off, so it’s a bit stressful thinking we really only have a few weekends to get organized. My brain is definitely wandering off to delivery, and what is going to happen. Hoping and praying little girl is in the ideal position for delivery and that all goes well. I’m also really hoping this little girl arrives early October, because I want to wear my maternity pants as Thanksgiving pants and actually enjoy dinner. All I can remember is how grumpy I was at Christmas when our first born still had not arrived. It’s a bit hard to believe that our little girl will soon be with us.
My apologies for the dark photos, we took them later in the evening as it was the only chance we had.
How far along? 34 weeks and 4 days
Gender: Another little girl; I am so looking forward to two girls in matching outfits.
Name: We still have no name confirmed for this little girl, we probably won’t fully decide until she arrives. Originally we were going to stick to E names, but the ones we liked have all become very popular.
Weight Gain/Loss: This whole pregnancy I have only gained 8lbs this time. Looking back at photos I look smaller too than when pregnant with our oldest.
Maternity clothes? Yes, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The other day we actually went shopping because my favourite denim line has been altered again so I went on a shopping mission. I wanted to find my pre-pregnancy size jeans and hopefully get one or two to stock up with. An employee there was able to find the last pair in my favourite style, and in my pre-pregnancy size. I was able to get them done up, even with this baby belly.
Stretch marks? Definitely, and I rock them proudly.
Belly Button in or out? It’s slowly getting closer to being out, but no turkey timer yet.
Sleep: I had the best 2 nights of sleep when we were on vacation last week at Harrison, I am tempted to call the hotel and ask what type of mattress they have. Being able to roll over in my sleep and not wake up is incredible. I felt no hip or pelvic pain. Sadly, I can’t say the same now that we are home. I have even tried putting an extra foam on top of our mattress. I am not sleeping well right now.
Best moment this week: Hearing Evie ask every day if baby sister will be here soon, she is possibly the most excited out of all of us. She’s also already requesting another sibling.
Movement: We fear this girl has night and day backwards already. She likes to party and move lots from about 2am to 5am. When she kicks, it’s with a lot of force. I actually fear for my ribs.
Food cravings: The odd time I will want something savoury or salty to eat.
Miss Anything? Being able to sit comfortably for longer than 5 minutes.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Please, if you do not smell grand for whatever reason, just keep your distance. It’s not that I feel sick, I just cannot handle the smell. It’s too much!
Have people started asking when is baby coming?: I’ve had a few people make comments that surely I must be due already, or I’m past my due date. Why is it that people feel they can make any comment they want towards a pregnant woman?
Labor signs: Not really, just some intense Braxton Hicks contractions. I did download a few contraction timer apps to my phone to get ready for delivery day. Having that was very helpful last time, the nurses were able to see right away what was going on, and my husband was able to run it. I just let him know when a contraction started and ended.
Wedding rings on or off: On, and fitting just fine.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy. The closer I get to my due date, I see this changing.
Looking forward to: Our maternity photos coming up in two weeks. We are getting to go into one of our favourite local places for fall activities before opening day. This way we can get photos without anyone else in the background, or worry about people photo bombing us. I am really looking forward to Evie being a part of them with us.

You are looking great! Isn’t it kinda strange and annoying how we seem to sleep best on vacation? Our bodies must know that we need those couple nights of good rest. 🙂
I can’t wait to see your maternity pictures!
