What is it about the beach that just seems to awake ones soul? I always feel so much better after a visit to a sandy shore by the ocean.Evie and I were invited to join my friend Tairalyn (Little Miss Mama), her daughter and best friend for an adventure to the beach. We may have hit the road a bit later than we wanted, it was still ok because there weren’t too many out enjoying the beach just yet. We staked our claim to a spot with our beach blankets and settled in. It wasn’t too long though til we all ventured towards the water. Evie didn’t want anything to do with the water, so I carried her out as we went in a mission to get water for a sand castle.
It was a perfect afternoon enjoying the sun. We have been blessed with some amazing weather recently and this day didn’t disappoint with highs of 27 C.We all enjoyed snacks and Evie enjoyed her friend’s snacks, I now have several items to add to her lay off What she likes and will eat. For some reason other kids meals always seem more appealing to her.Bubbles were played with, mini sand castles were built (which apparently Tairalyn lives by the best dollar store around she got some amazing things from there to use at the beach, I will be stocking up there next time I’m on the other side of the bridge), sun burns were had and avoided by some, fear of sea creatures were conquered, all in all it was a very fun afternoon at the beach.
I plan on having as many beach trips as possible with Evie once I am on summer vacation from work, actually I also just want to get outside as much as possible with her. She loves the great outdoors, and I love how much it zonks her out when bedtime rolls around.
Two girls watching the kite surfers.
She tried to catch up to the kite surfers.
Finding different sea creatures and shells.
Sand covered toes are a sign of a fun day at the beach.
Pinwheels are always good fun with an ocean breeze.
