When you little ones arrived did you take lots of photos, or have newborn photos done? We had a friend of ours come to our home a bit after our daughter was born and we took photos, some of your traditional newborn photos, and a lot of us just as a family of 3. One thing we wanted to do was have some birth announcements made so that we could send them out to our family and friends. This was almost three years ago, and I so wish I had known about Minted, which is an online design marketplace. If I could go back in time and redo our daughter’s birth announcements I so would.
Minted offers so many options for birth announcements. Look at all the incredible images of options that are available I’ve shared here, there are many, many more available. My husband and I are going to have a difficult time selecting which we would like to use after our second daughter’s arrival. We may have to get our preschooler to do a tie breaker and pick for us. Once we pick which style, often the announcements have even more options that are available, such as different colours, rounded corners, and different shapes. Don’t even get me started on the paper options. Minted definitely has a little bit of everything, for everyone. You are sure to find something you like.
Part of why we want to send a paper, card stock, birth announcement out is because we love how personal it is. We get to create our list of who we will be sending the announcements out to, family and friends that are near and far. While social media is an easy way to share about our daughter’s arrival, there is just something so special about receiving a card in the mail. I have kept all of the announcements that have been sent to us. They were filled with love and joy, sharing about a special little one who has been born.
We definitely want to include our daughter’s name, weight, and length in the announcement. We would love to find one that works with the theme of the nursery we are still putting together. I am so thankful that Minted offers options to include one, or more photos because we may fall in love with several photos from the newborn photo session and it is nice to have the option to share more than one. There are a couple other things that I really appreciate from Minted. I can create my account, and then go to the site and start designing some birth announcements and save them. Which means I can come back later, after baby is born and add the photos. It will not take me so long to get them completed when all I need to do is put the photo or photos in, as well as the little details like weight and height. It will definitely help me save on precious time with baby. Last time I ended up staying up late one night trying to get a birth announcement put together, and printed. That will not be happening again. Another great feature of Minted is that you get one free digital proof sent to your email. You can add any comments in for the person who will be proofing it for you, this is great if you have any concerns about the layout. This adds a bit of peace of mind for me.
Did you send out birth announcements after your little one’s arrival?
This blog post has been sponsored by Minted, I cannot wait to share with all of you which design we go with, and what the final product looks like for baby girl’s birth announcements.
