Who here has Netflix?

Anyone else already watching the holiday shows that are on Netflix?
*raises a hand to answer her own question – again!*
We’ve started watching the holiday shows after Remembrance Day. We have no Christmas decor up yet because we have yet to get a tree. This is the first year we are going to go an cut down a real one. Meanwhile, we are getting into the festive spirit by watching all sorts of holiday shows on Netflix. We decided to share what we’ve been enjoying watching.
First up… our toddler. She’s the super picky one in our family. If she does not like a show she lets us all know right away until we change it. Timmy Time Christmas Surprise is her go to. As soon as the theme song plays, she starts dancing. She loves the little sheep who is the main character. This show is all about getting ready for the holidays and the anticipation of Christmas morning. It’s also the perfect short movie if you have younger children who are asking for a movie, but you know they will not make it through something long.
Now, our kindergartener, we cannot trick her into watching a short movie before bed. She knows if we try to. There is one Christmas movie that she will watch multiple times over during the holidays and that is Arthur Christmas. It’s an interesting take on the story of Santa and gives an explanation as to why Santa has been around for so long. Santa’s son Arthur ends up going on a mission to make sure that a little girl gets her present in time on Christmas morning. Have some fun if you watch this one for family movie night and get everyone to wear their best ugly Christmas sweaters so you can all match Arthur’s awesome seasonal style.
For myself, this time of year I am drawn to the classic and the over the top cheesy romance holiday movies. There’s a bit of both available. How the Grinch Stole Christmas is always a great go to, sure to leave you laughing with everything the Grinch attempts to do to stop Christmas. If you’re looking for a good movie to play while wrapping gifts, writing Christmas cards, or baking cookies give A Christmas Prince a try. This one is all about how an aspiring journalist is sent abroad to find out the details about what is going on with a Prince who is supposed to become king. It’s over the top with the cheesiness and just right for the holidays.
