Last week I was invited by Bugaboo to an incredible dinner in downtown Vancouver at Black + Blue. It was a night all about learning from Bugaboo and about what they have to offer, amazing food, and catching up with some of my friends and fellow bloggers. Up first, and you couldn’t miss it because it was in the middle of the table, was the Bugaboo Bee3. It’s the third generation urban stroller, and it comes with 64 colour combination options for the frame and fabric. That is amazing if you are wanting something that is unique to you and your style. It is a stroller you can use with newborns and toddlers, there is a pram or toddler seat that can be used with it. My favourite feature of this stroller is the sun canopy, it’s massive! Don’t be fooled by it’s small appearance it does extend further. For me this is a must for little ones and their delicate skin. Another great feature is that there is plenty of room in the storage space in the underseat basket. I really like the unique look of this stroller too, it’s much more modern looking and very sleek. The Bugaboo Bee3 with bassinet runs from $940-$999.One thing you cannot miss from Bugaboo is the unique look and design. The Bugaboo Cameleon has several special edition options besides the more traditional colour options. If your other half loves rugged looking items, they will probably love the Bugaboo by Diesel. Where else can you find a stroller that has a camo option for it’s accessories to go with them? If you want something truly unique and that stands out the Bugaboo Andy Warhol Banana Collection is for you. There are several other special Bugaboo only designs available so go and take a look. You may just fall in love with one.
The Cameleon can go from infant to toddler like its counterparts from Bugaboo. If you are looking for a stroller that is adaptable for different terrains, this is the one for you. A very unique feature of the Cameleon is that the handle bar can flip sides, so if you are on a trail or at the beach and going over some rocks you can have the larger wheels in the front to make it easier to go over the different terrain. There are also shocks on the wheels that can be adjusted to work best for your child and their age and weight. It is very easy to maneuver this stroller with one hand too. Seriously, Bugaboo has taken into consideration so many little details that as a parent I didn’t even consider when searching for a stroller. The Cameleon starts around $1,199 and then you can purchase different accessories as needed. Something new is coming soon. Bugaboo followers have been asking and waiting for this and it is coming! Bugaboo is introducing the Runner. What’s so special about this? The runner frame works with the seat of every current Bugaboo model. Brilliant! Why should you have to buy a whole other stroller, when if you already own a stroller from Bugaboo all you have to do is get the Runner frame and then you put the seat from your other stroller onto it. YES! The front wheel is fixed which is great for running. I really like the size of the wheels. What I really love is how this folds up. It goes nice and flat, and you can hang it on your wall. This is perfect to solve the issue of storing strollers. I know in our garage we have wall hooks and we could easily just hang this stroller from one of them and keep our floor space in the garage. I so want to get my hands on this stroller and test out how it is on a run. I can’t wait for it to be released in stores. The Bugaboo Runner will be around $425, if you are wanting the complete Runner with a seat etc you are looking at about $755. Keep an eye out for it Spring 2015.We also got to see a very lovely bag. Storksak + Bugaboo Bag, I didn’t want to let this bag go when it came around for me to see. I don’t know about you but I have worked my way through 3 diaper bags in just under 2 years. I am still searching for the perfect carry all/diaper bag. I may have found it, and I may be saving every penny and putting in requests for this to be my birthday and Christmas gift. There is a nylon and a leather option. We got to see the leather one in person, and it is lovely. It has a very classic and timeless design, but when you open it up there is a great pop of colour. I loved that little surprise inside. This bag is nice and roomy, and I want to know how many cloth diapers I can organize into this for a family day out along with all the other items we’d need.
The evening really was a lot of fun, and it left me wishing that all the information they had shared with us that night was shared with me before I had purchased a stroller. They had me thinking about how the stroller is built, how buckles work, do you have the option to use it with two children if needed. By the way check out the Bugaboo Donkey if you are looking for a two seat stroller this one fits through door ways! Honestly the one thing I strongly urge you to do if you are purchasing a stroller for the first time, research them all! Try them all out. Consider it an investment item. If you do fall in love with one, think about buying one used if it is out of your price range. Bugaboo strollers hold their value and there is an obvious reason; they are well built!
Are any of you Bugaboo owners? Which one do you have? Did you research which stroller you were going to buy before purchasing one? Do you find yourself in a place where you are now considering purchasing something different? If so, what are you looking for in a stroller now?
These are some of my photos from the night. Andria from The Cheerio Diaries was one of the many lovely bloggers there that evening. Oh the food at Black + Blue was something else. I enjoyed the salmon dinner , and was treated to a crispy chocolate cake. If you are looking for a really special place to go on a date night, consider going here. Thank you Bugaboo for such a wonderful evening!
