Are you ready to pick a side?
If you are going to see Captain America: Civil War this weekend you are going to have to. If you are anything like my sister and I you’ve already know who you would side with, and decided over the course of having watched all the different Marvel movies. Personally I am #TeamCap all the way! If you have twitter be sure to tweet either #TeamCap or #TeamIronMan + #TweetMe @CaptainAmerica letting everyone know which side you are on.
My sister and I had the chance to go to an early screening for the film. When I asked my sister if she wanted to go, the immediate response was “Dude??!! Really?” I took that as an immediate yes, she wanted to go see it.
Synopsis: Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in twocamps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. Get ready to pick a side and join the nonstop action playing out on two fronts when Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” opens in theatres on May 6, 2016.
It seems I say this after every Marvel movie that comes out but… this is my favourite one to date! If you are even just slightly considering going and seeing it, do it! Watch the last one that came out before going to refresh your knowledge, but go.
I really appreciate how these movies have a little bit of everything in it. Adventure, action, a smidgen of romance, humour, and more. My favourite is probably the quick whit that is all throughout. One great moment involves the “best” getaway vehicle ever. You will find yourself laughing so much, you just might spit out your popcorn.
Billy Elliot makes an appearance! Kidding… well, sort of. Spider-Man is in this! That’s right. When I had heard that Disney had the rights to Spider-Man I wondered if he would soon be making an appearance. Sure enough a young Peter Parker played by Tom Holland (who starred in Billy Elliot the Musical). His role brought a lot of perfectly timed comedic relief. It also has me looking forward to when his own standalone movie comes out. When you end up having Spider-Man and Iron Man in the same place it’s brilliant, especially because it happens when Peter Parker is a teen and has newly acquired his powers. Tony Stark ends up calling his original outfit underoos, and is the reason he ends up with a new, and improved outfit.
The pressure is on for the Avengers as they have to decide about if they are going to let there be limitations placed over them about how, when, and where they act. Just as the title says, the Avengers split up and a war starts between them.
Will Captain America be wrong about something finally? Will Tony Starks ego be put in check? What is the best getaway vehicle ever? All of theses questions will be answered if you go see the movie. I am already planning to go see it again. Mostly because my husband wants to see it, and is still a bit sad that he had to miss out on going to the screening.
So… Team Cap or Team Iron Man?
Disclosure: We received free tickets to attend the movie screener for Captain America: Civil War. All views and opinions are 100% my own. Team Captain always!

I LOVED IT!!! Went opening night. I love that they can add in a hint of comedy in an action movie so seamlessly.
