I have been catching myself daydreaming about traveling.
When it comes to traveling, that started in grade 12 when I went to Costa Rica for the first time with my best friend. She and her family are from there, and the majority of her family is still living in Costa Rica so we stayed with them while visiting there. I have a lot of great memories from that trip. The red sunsets, warm ocean water, a brutal sun burn, and getting to see sea turtles come onto the back and lay eggs at night.
Back when I was in middle school, sadly my grade 9 year was skipped for doing a Europe trip so I did not get the chance to go to Europe. My 3 sister’s all had the opportunity, and two of them did go. I have always wanted to do a Europe trip since back in middle school. Socials and history were my favourite classes in school. Jason and I talk about “maybe some day…” and a trip through Europe is on our list to dream about, and maybe it will happen. I have some friends over on that side of the water who I would love to visit. Now that several of my former teachers also have tour groups doing European tours, we may just have to do a tour through one of their groups in the future.
Since getting married Jason and I have gone to two different Hawaiian islands, and I must say, Hawaii may become our go to destination. We absolutely love it there. We both look forward to travelling there as a family some day with munchkins. We also did a Caribbean cruise a couple years ago. This would probably be Jason’s go-to way of taking a vacation. We had a great time going on this cruise with friends, but I don’t know if I would do a Caribbean cruise again. Something else, possibly.
Jason would really like to do a cruise to Alaska. Since Disney does do a cruise there in the summer. We keep putting that idea out there. Maybe, just maybe, we’ll save up and do that vacation. We could take Everly with us, she would be entertained, we wouldn’t have to worry about cooking meals, and we’d get to see a beautiful place.
Then there is the big dream of every kid. Disneyland, I’ve never been to Disneyland, Jason has been. So you can imagine how much I bug Jason about really wanting to go to Disneyland. Especially now that we have Everly, I really want to go! We have friends who love to travel here, and will actually be going next year with their two little guys. I look forward to hearing all about their trip and seeing all the photos. Sadly, this one may wait til we are blessed with two children so that we can make it a “worth while” trip, I believe that is what Jason called it. I guess he wants to do a two kids for one trip kind of deal. Personally, I’d really like to go when they have all of the Christmas decorations up, I hear this is a crazy time of year to go so it may take some strategic planning, but I think it would be so much fun.
A person can dream right. Some of these may get crossed off eventually. For now its great to travel around where we live, between British Columbia and Washington we have some great places to visit and see. What are you dream trips or vacations?

I too have never been to Disney land. I could easily live a happy life with never going, but it definitely would be fun to bring the kids there one day.
I’ve also never been on a cruise, but would love to do a Baltic Sea one. I love Eastern Europe!
Tim and I both love a good road trip though. His family once did a 6 week one through the states and Canada, ad that sounds like so much fun!

I totally agree, there is just something about Disney and kids that goes hand in hand. For me, I have so many memories of Disney Christmas specials, that I think that is why I would really like to go around the holiday season.
A cruise is great if you really want to relax, and not have to worry about buying groceries and cooking or spending big money on restaurants. I loved the days at sea, I found those to be the most relaxing.
Jason and I were just talking the other day about how it be fun to do a road trip from the East of Canada back home to the West.
