We’ve all been there. We’ve binged watched our classic go to shows on Netflix, or we’ve watched a new show or movie and find ourselves with nothing to watch. What do you do on movie night when you are looking for something but just don’t know what to watch on Netflix?
Our go-to is reaching out on social media. We will update our Facebook status or share on our Insta Stories asking others to tell us their recommendations for what to watch. Sometimes we’ll be more specific and say we are looking for a new TV series to check out or that we want an adventure movie to watch. We have yet to be let down by this method! Crowdsourcing can work.
Still, there is so much available to watch on Netflix, what else can you do to help process down what you want to watch?
If it’s family movie night, give the kids control of the remote. We’ve done everything from letting them scroll through and randomly land on something as it zooms through to even picking a random letter of the alphabet and finding something that started with that letter. It makes it fun and interactive for the kids to help find something for everyone to watch. Of course, parents have right to veto.
The other thing we have started to do is to just go into the categories section and scroll. You never know what you will discover. Try something different like watching a documentary. You’ll find everything divided up from new releases to musicals, and even children & family movies. It can sometimes help to just categorize things and go from there. Figure out what you are feeling like watching and then start searching.
