It’s no secret that my family and I love Disneyland. Going to Disneyland has become a very memorable experience for our whole family, with my parents even going for the first time with us over a year ago. On one of our previous trips, my husband put together a list of foods he had to try; Foodie Mission. One of the food items that is considered a must by all who go to Disneyland, especially during a heat wave, is Dole Whip.
CAN YOU GET DOLE WHIP OUTSIDE OF THE PARK?
Dole Whip becomes something you crave when warmer weather rolls around back home, especially during the Summer months. The question many of us Disney fans start to ask is “Can you get Dole Whip outside of the park?” and recently that question was answered when a list came out of places in Vancouver you can find Dole Whip!
You better believe you went on a mission to try and find Dole Whip. We wanted to see if it truly was the same as the magical pineapple sunshine you can get at the Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland. On a recent family adventure in Vancouver, we decided to treat the girls to some Dole Whip and try it for ourselves.
WHERE YOU CAN FIND DOLE WHIP
POKÉ TIME
Address:1258 Robson Street, Vancouver
Address: Robson Court #150 – 840 Howe Street, Vancouver
SCREAMERS SOFT SERVE
Address: The corner of 3rd Avenue and Bayview Street in Steveston (Richmond)
THE MILK MAN ON GRANVILLE ISLAND
Address: #139 – 1689 Johnston Street, Vancouver
PEACHWAVE YOGURT

We went to Poké Time on Robson Street. We actually tried to get to the one on Howe Street but couldn’t find it. Thankfully, we only put a little change into the parking meter. The location on Robson Street is also pay parking. It’s a small little shop with cute pineapple decor on the wall. We were able to grab a small table on the left as soon as we walked in and Jason went to order the Dole Whip for us.
IS IT TRULY LIKE DISNEYLAND DOLE WHIP?
This is what we wanted to find out, was it truly like the Dole Whip we’d had in Disneyland? The answer… no. I found the consistency to be different than what I’ve had in Disneyland during my trips there. I found it to be a bit more icy than creamy like in Disneyland.
While it’s not the exact same as what you’ll have in Disney, but you are saving the cost of travel, hotel, park tickets, and exchange rates. If you are not planning a trip to Disneyland anytime soon, I would say it’s an acceptable substitute and it’s sure to quench those Dole Whip cravings. There is just something about pineapple soft serve that makes everything better.
