The other evening I went for a girls night out with some friends who are also fellow bloggers and photographers. We all loaded into a minivan and headed out to the Capilano Suspension Bridge to check out Canyon Lights. We were on a mission to “find the light”.
We wanted to get photos amongst the hundreds of thousands of stunning lights that are throughout the park. This isn’t the first time a group of us have gotten together. It’s always fun to go out and do something different and that challenges you and that’s exactly what this night ended up being.
Some of us are newer at taking photos so it was nice getting tips from those who are photographers for how to use our camera. Others had never taken photos at night so that was a new challenge. Fears of height were faced when crossing the suspension bridge and going into the treetops. Trying new poses and not being afraid to be in front of the camera. We were all trying something new and having fun.
Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if we simply remember to turn on the light.
I had brought some gorgeous crowns I had got from Ever Red Fresh Designs to use as photo props and another person brought mini lights that could be held and wrapped around for more light. This helped with finding the light and adding some glow to our faces.
One thing for certain, we had a lot of fun simply trying something different. Don’t be afraid to just head out on your own or grab a couple friends and take photos. You just never know what will be captured.
