We have been in a bit of a food battle recently. Evie has not been wanting to sit in her high chair and eat. The odd time she does sit down she will have maybe two bites of food and sign that she is finished.
The other morning I surrendered and put milk from get bottle and the oatmeal she wouldn’t eat into a smoothie a long with fruits and some veggies. Gave it to get in a cup with a straw and she had the whole thing! Since then she had been offered smoothies for breakfast each morning and she loves them.
Could this just be a bit of picky eating? Maybe. She definitely knows what she likes and dislikes. We are continuing to try and keep a routine for her in when she eats, and exposing her to different foods.
Did anyone else’s kids have a picky phase? I know I lived off milk til I was 3.

She is probably just so busy, the idea of being in the high chair frustrates her. 🙂 Hopefully it’s not TRUE pickiness. All of my boys are pretty selective. One is sooo picky (at 6 years old) that he really doesn’t like much. It’s a real pain and a constant battle!
She is so darling!

From my experience so far, these little people do seem to go through phases of pretty much everything. She’s gotta keep you on your toes, mama! 😉 Shae also went through a big smoothie stage and I found it to be a great opportunity to pack in some greens that he wouldn’t typically eat. Popsicle season in around the corner too – yogurt and fruit pops, mmm…
