How we love sweet precious little Addie! She is so wonderful, and I really don’t know if its possible for us to love her more. Whenever she smiles at you she lowers her head as if it’s too much emotion for her, and its the cutest thing ever to see her do. This girl loves to smile. The giggles that come out of her are amazing too, and happening much more often.
She has recently discovered that she can make a hooting sound like an owl, and a “mmm” sound, she almost sounds like a dove when making that one. Yes I know, both bird like sounds but it’s the best way to describe it. Right now my money is on her saying Mama first. We wait to see. She has also mastered rolling over, but thankfully does not do this when in her crib yet. She does however spin round, and round in circles or shuffles to the edge. We recently noticed how hard she is trying to get her legs moving while on her tummy. Please little girl do not be in any rush to start crawling. Take your time!
Oh how I love the sweet little rolls on her thighs and wrists. While she is no chunky baby by any means, she still has them. She is very much like her older sister in this way. Very long, and almost skinny looking but she has her rolls. Her sweet little rolls.
4 month sleep regression hit in the form of her not napping well, she still sleeps great at bed time and for that I am so thankful. We’ve had a few nights where we’ve been able to just put her into her crib and she nods off to sleep all on her own. We are hoping to get her sleeping without her arms being swaddled, for now she still prefers it but with her being able to roll it’s time for her to sleep with her arms free.
Addie adores her big sister. The smiles and giggles that Evie can get out of her are like nothing else. There have been several occasions in the car where I have heard Addie just giggling like crazy, and grinning from ear to ear just from Evie talking to her. She watches everything Evie does, and seems very eager to be keeping up with her.
Food… oh how this girl seems to already love food. She is showing so much more interest in it than Evie ever did. I think we will have no problems starting solids when the time comes. She does not like to be excluded from dinner time, she prefers to be sitting right up at the table on someone’s lap and watching everything. She nurses 2-3 times a day, and is supplemented with bottle feedings the rest of the time when she is indicating she is hungry. We’ve started doing some baby signs around her already, we’ll see how long until she starts indicating she wants milk.
These months are going much too quickly. We are loving every moment with our sweet lovie. Happy 4 months darling Addie, we love you so much!
