FOUR MONTHS OLD
Orie is 16.6 lbs and 25.3 inches. She’s in the 90th percentile for everything which explains why she’s almost outgrown the bassinet and we’re in a bit of a panic now to get the playroom switched to be her room. We also need to get the crib set up asap!
We’re holding our breath as we await the 4-month sleep regression, which appears to be here in the form of 20 minutes power naps. Guess her napping skills are not improving at all. We’re trying to go with the flow of her sleep needs and if that means sleeping near us/on us, then so be it.
She’s loving her bouncer and playing with the toy bar on it. She’s also grabbing for the items hanging from her play mat. So thankful for the play may because we can pop her on it while we’re in the kitchen and she will happily play for a little bit.
If we need to do something, we’ve realized she’s a huge fan of the show Bluey. Yes, we’re not above playing her a show while we get things done, if it means she’s happy! It also helps to prevent the shrillest sound we’ve ever heard from a baby from happening. This girl has lungs and she will use them.
When out for walks, we’ve realized she likes to face forward and look around. The problem with this is we don’t have a forward-facing baby carrier.
I’ve also declared that she said mum/mama today… See video in comments. Some may think not, but I’m claiming it.
