With the chemo treatments taking an average of 4 hours we decided to download some shows we hadn’t checked out yet onto our Ipad to aid with passing the time. Plus, we also recently discovered a show we both love and have been binge watching at home.
Black Mirror. This is a sci-fi anothology that has a different story for every episode. It takes a look at modern technology and it’s possibly consequences. Prepare yourself for the episodes to end in a twist. It’s interesting, but a bit creepy for us. We’re not sure if it’s one we’ll really get into as it is suspenseful. We do know several people who are really into this show. Right now though, we are needing something with a bit more light-heartedness to it.
Travelers. This show is set in the future where humans have discovered a way to travel back through time. Doing so, they are trying to save the future of humanity. The “travelers” work as teams on different missions using their knowledge of history. This is another one we are just getting into.
Now, for the show, we are currently binge watching… Life In Pieces. Just as the title says, each episode of this show is divided up into separate pieces featuring all of the family members. It’s been awhile since we’ve laughed so much during a show, it’s a great family comedy. We also recently realized one of the actors is Tom Hank’s son!
HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR NETFLIX SHOWS WE SHOULD CHECK OUT?

Have you watched This Is Us? It’s heartwarming, about a family and how they get though everything life throws at them – both good and bad. Goes back and forth in time to show how past events affect present day. So many themes in the show – motherhood, adoption, aging, death, sickness, weight, coming of age, first loves, etc etc

This must be such a tough time for both of you. Thank goodness for being able to download the Netflix content locally. Black Mirror is tremendous, but you’re right that you might want something more lighthearted. I don’t know if you’re into nature docs, but the Planet Earth series (and Planet Earth II) are on there. And you can always dive into old sitcoms you may have missed. I just recently started Arrested Development, since we didn’t watch it the first time around. My Next Guest with David Letterman was enjoyable too.

I have really enjoyed the mini series Godless. So far I have only watched one episode of Black Mirror but I do plan on watching more. Sending prayers for a quick recovery.
