FINDING GIFTS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
When it comes to gift-giving, especially when it comes to gifts for our kids, we try to follow the rule of something to read, something to wear, something they want, and something they need. We have used this idea to simplify our shopping during the holiday season. It’s amazing how easy this is to achieve when shopping in-store or online with Indigo.
Christmas is almost here. Which means some of us are finished shopping, while others may just beginning. One place we love to visit when finding gifts for the whole family is Indigo.
NEVER EVER LET IT COOL
Are you singing the hot chocolate song from the Polar Express now? This holiday season Indigo had these creative face figural mugs in all sorts of festive characters. You can select this cute snowman, a reindeer, or even a gingerbread man. They add a little fun to a cup of hot chocolate, plus there’s even a spoon for stirring with. The mugs are perfectly oversized and made of porcelain. You can fit all the marshmallows and whipping cream you want!
If you are shopping in-store at an Indigo location, be sure to check out all the different treats they bring in. I went home recently with snowflake-shaped marshmallows and hot chocolate mix. This snowman mug has put a smile on all of our faces. It even comes in a box perfect for gifting. Simply add a bow on top.
LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW
Bring on the snow this winter. I or my girls will be perfectly warm in the Love and Lore Women’s Kitty Hat & Mitten Set. While it may be sized for women, my kids both saw this set and instantly put it on their wish list. It’s a fun, ivory knit with a cream lining that is sure to keep one’s hands and head warm.
The detailing of the paws on the palms of the mittens and the kitten nose with whiskers is perfectly whimsical for any cold-weather adventure. I have a feeling that I may not get the chance to wear these or I need to get two more sets so my girls and I can match. This is another great gift set that comes ready to wrap in a beautiful box, complete with pale pink paw prints. Indigo really is making gift-giving easy this Christmas!
HAVE YOUR OWN YULE BALL
The Harry Potter Illustrated Editions are something my husband has been gifting me since the first one came out. Now, yes I do have the classic novels. However, there is just something special about the illustrated ones. Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire: Illustrated Edition just came out a couple of months ago. Maybe you have a redhead in your family, who must be a Weasley. Or perhaps, you have a major Harry Potter fan in your house. These books are perfect addition to any library.
Some may struggle to use their imagination when reading a chapter book, especially in creative series like this. The creatures and characters are all so unique. Illustrations can help bring the story to life. It’s nice to see a different take on the visual side of the story than what was presented on the big screen. Illustrated storied can help many absorb more of the book and catch details they may have missed without it. Plus, why should children be the only ones who get picture books? I can see myself sitting down with my kids and reading through these books together when they are a bit older.
All of these items are available through Indigo. Some may be sold out with the rush of holiday shopping. Do check instore and online though if something caught your attention. You just may be surprised at the variety of items Indigo carries. It is why we love popping in and strolling the aisles.
