It’s the national animal of Scotland so what better reason do you need to get a giant unicorn sprinkler? For us, we got a ginormous unicorn to make the kids smile. With our youngest having broken her clavicle at gymnastics she is very limited to what she can do. As soon as we spotted this in clearance, we knew it had to come home with us.
NOTHING BETTER FOR A HOT SUMMER DAY
I have been eyeing up these ginormous sprinklers since last summer. I never pulled the trigger on purchasing one until now. Tomorrow is the first day of August and everything “summer” is already on its way out as Fall items make their way into stores. Summer isn’t over till September 23rd! Thankfully the craziness of stores bringing in seasonal products early worked in our favour.
It’s absolutely ridiculous to have a ginormous unicorn yard sprinkler, but that just makes it all the better for childhood memories while our girls are little. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to set up. You really only have to inflate it and connect it to a hose to have it work. The water shoots out the top of the unicorn’s horn. The sprinkler comes with anchors you can use to keep the unicorn from floating away if it’s windy out at all.
Inflating and deflating the sprinkler is best done with an air pump. We are still trying to figure out the best way to store it after each use. Sadly we cannot leave something like this in our yard as things tend to disappear. I have yet to see if I can refold it well enough to get it back in the original box.
This will be the closest our girls come to having a unicorn as a pet. Pretty sure we should name it, any suggestions?
