We were incredibly excited for Glow to return to Langley for it’s second Christmas season. We attended last year and couldn’t wait to see what may be different this time. Last year we felt it was geared more to those wanting the perfect Instagram photo, this year you still have your Instagram worthy opportunities but there are lots to do for families too!
GLOW AROUND THE WORLD
When you visit Glow this season you have the opportunity to travel around the world all while inside, so have no fear of the weather. You’ll stay comfy and cozy while you go to China, the Netherlands, England, and several other stops. Be sure to get your passport so that you can get a stamp at each country. It’s Glow’s scavenger hunt for this holiday season.
This was a major highlight for my daughters. They loved having their own passport book and looking for each passport hut to get a stamp. It’s become a prized possession that they have happily shown off to family and friends since visiting. Plus, once they got a stamp from all of the places they were able to get a treat at the end. The girls picked from either a candy cane or a granola bar.
RELAX, DO SOME SHOPPING, AND ENJOY THE ENTERTAINMENT
The indoor Christmas Market is back with some of my favourites like Little Bean + Co and Free Reign. I love that this market has several great local businesses. You can find all sorts of great things. Plus you can definitely get some wonderful items to put in stockings!
If you are wanting to relax and enjoy some food and entertainment, there are food trucks outside and some bars inside. The bars are where you can get the Glow cup that lights up; there are a couple nonalcoholic/kid friendly drink options. The girls enjoyed 7 Up with some strawberry syrup in it to make it a festive red. Sadly we lost a cup somewhere after my youngest set it down and we didn’t notice til later.
For what to get at the food trucks, we cannot recommend the mini donuts and macaroni enough. Those are our favourite and go to options when at Glow. We love to pick up food early before everyone else realizes it’s dinner time so the lines aren’t long and get a table in front of the stage so we can sit and watch whoever is performing. We are hoping to go back one night soon so we can enjoy seeing our friends on stage!
