Happy Valentine’s Day from my family, to you and yours!
Earlier this week I helped Evie make some Valentine’s cards that we mailed out to her little friends. It was actually a lot of fun making them. We had her finger paint a piece of card stock. I then traced some hearts onto it, and cut all the hearts out. I put glue on the back of the hearts, and Evie helped to put them onto the front of the cards. On the inside I gave her free reign of stickers. She did a great job of placing them onto the inside of the cards. I was actually surprised at how well she did, she needed some help here and there. We will have to try some more sticker activities in the future, as this was great for her fine motor skills.
We will be spending the afternoon and evening together as a family. Tradition for Jason and I has been to make dinner together, and that will be continuing. We are making heart shapes pizzas, Evie will even get her own little heart shaped pizza to put toppings onto. We will also be enjoying some strawberries and dip. If you cut the strawberries in half they look like a heart.
What are you doing for Valentine’s Day? Going out as a couple, or staying home with your family?
