Sometimes it feels like rainy season is all year where we live. It’s not really a surprise because there are parts of British Columbia that are considered to be a coastal rainforest. Growing up here you accept, and welcome the rain. We do not shy away from going outside and playing in the rain either. My daughter needed a good raincoat that would keep her dry, and warm. I found the perfect coat in what Hatley has to offer.
Hatley has beautiful raincoats that come in bold colours, and fun prints. My daughter loves that her’s is covered in different woodland animals. The raincoat my daughter has is the Winter Forest Girl’s Raincoat. She does not shy away from going out and splashing in the rain, and jumping around in puddles. She is always up for an adventure. The outerwear from Hatley is both stylish, and incredibly functional. The shell of the coat is made of polyurethane to prevent kiddos from getting soaked to the core. The inside of the jacket is lined with a co-ordinating colour of terry to help keep kids warm. The raincoats are easy to wash. Simply put it in your washing machine on the gentle cycle, cold wash, and use a mild detergent. Once washed, hang it up to dry. It does not take long to dry, which is really nice. I really like that this product is so well made, I know this is a raincoat that will be kept, and hopefully used by more kids. Whether it’s my own children, or I lend it to friends to borrow. We also ordered a size a bit bigger and liked that we could just roll the sleeves up a bit, and the coat still fit very well on our daughter. Even with fitting the coat much better now that she’s had a growth spurt, the raincoat is still long enough that if she sits down somewhere there is enough of the coat to go under her bottom so that it does not get soaked. The hood of the raincoat also stays up very nicely. This was a huge feature I loved because I have noticed with other coats that the hood will fall off my daughter’s head very easily.
As a parent I really appreciate that Hatley tries to keep their articles of clothing as natural as possible. All of the outerwear is PVC free. They sell many more articles of clothing than just raincoats. You can find everything from sleepwear and swimwear too. I am adding more Hatley items to my daughter’s wardrobe now because of all of this. I love my daughter’s raincoat, and so does she!
If you do decide to try out a Hatley raincoat for your child be sure to check out the rainboots, and umbrellas. They have ones that coordinate with the raincoats!
Disclosure: We happily accepted a raincoat from Hatley in order to do this post. All opinions shared on this blog are 100% my own. I love sharing with you about products we have come to adore! This is one of them.

what a super cute raincoat. We are in our winter season in western Pennsylvania right now so big puffy coats are in, but come spring we break out the rain gear! Thanks for sharing!

How cute! I’m convinced outdoor play is way more fun if you bundle up in quality apparel. Thanks for the heads up about this company!

How is the sizing on them? Now that hour daighter is older , My daughter is a tall 4.7 year old . I just ordered a size 6 this morning and hoping it’s ok but worried I should have ordered the 7. She’s wearing 5/6 in clothes . Hopefully their coats fit generously …

Our daughter turned 4 in December. We bought her a size 7 but it is huge on her. Like she is wearing a trench coat. I think the size 6 will fit perfect with room to grow on your daughter.
