My daughter’s high tea birthday party had several DIY features everything from the cake to the little party favours were put together by me. I love getting to do those things and make them special for her. For this birthday party I also made the invitations myself. Previously I’ve ordered invitations. I wanted something cute, simple, but that also went with her tea party theme. It was incredibly easy to put together.
What you need:
– card stock paper
– ribbon
– paper doilies
– paper tags
– hole punch
Directions:
– Print of the invitation in the size you need. I’ve even made a blank template you can use. I would suggest using this site to help you put the text you want onto it. To get the blank template to print go HERE and save it to your computer, and print. I used a 4×6 card stock to print mine out.
– On the paper tags you can either cut paper doilies and glue them on to fit, or you may find some like what I used that are already made at your local craft store. I wrote a different tea name on each one.
– Fold the doily around the invitation. You may need to trim the doily on the top and bottom of the invitation to make it fit into the envelope.
– Punch a hole into the tag if needed, and thread the tag onto the ribbon, tie in the front into a bow.
– FINISHED!
Ta da! Seriously so incredibly easy to make and they looked great. They are the perfect invitation for a little girls tea party. I have saved one to keep in my daughter’s keepsake box.
Oh my goodness, this is so cute! How fun.
Love these, thanks for sharing
I love the idea of throwing a tea party for myself and some of my girl friends, but my apartment is not suitable haha. Once I have a home tea parties and dinner parties will be frequent
