IMG_8565b IMG_8589bChristmas is right around the corner. I cannot believe we are into the final countdown. My oldest is asking every day if it is Christmas yet. We are doing our best to keep her busy each day. A great way to do this is by decorating gingerbread cookies and houses. It just might be her favourite activity so far this holiday season… that and ice skating. 

Recently Evie had the opportunity to decorate a mini gingerbread house while we were on a mini vacation thanks to my friend Tairalyn. They were just the perfect size for younger kids. Would you believe she found kits that contained 5 mini houses? PERFECT! If you are doing a gingerbread decorating party with youngsters you must attempt to find these. They are just the right size, the kids get to still experience putting the house together and decorating it. The icing set quickly. I was so impressed. I’m actually debating picking up a couple kits for my families Christmas dinner and putting them out with some decorations for everyone to decorate. We’re all big kids at heart right? Why can’t the adults have some fun too. 

This week we have lots of holiday prep to do which includes baking a few more cookies. We will be turning on our favourite holiday shows that are on Netflix.     I would like Netflix for the kids shows for my daughter. She loves My Little Pony. We would definitely check out all the Holiday Shows, she likes Snow Dogs.

    Right now our favourite show on Netflix is Curious George! All 4 of my kids, ages 3 to 10, will watch it together.

    That gingerbread house is adorable!

    I used to have Netflix, but it was under my ex’s name and I never signed up myself. I don’t have cable either so it’d be nice to have something to watch! I really want to finish Orange is the New Black.

    My favourite holiday movie on Netflix is The Grinch! I don’t have Netflix, so we watch a lot of DVDs.

    we haven’t had Netflix for year — would love to have it again! We watch regular tv but there are lots of wonderful Christmas movies and specials on this time of year! We always watch Elf, and Christmas with the Kranks, and the Sound of Music!

    We have been trying to keep off Netflix for December, other than the odd kids show for the boys, so I’m not sure what holiday shows are on there!

    For a holiday show, my boys and I are loving Santa Paws! And if I could watch something not on Netflix Canada, it would be lots of different tv shows that they have and we don’t!
