Needing glasses seemed to be in the genes for me. My parents both wore glasses, my older sister had glasses and so did one of my younger sisters. Growing up I realised I needed glasses by the end of grade 3. By the start of grade 4 I was sporting some amazing bottle glasses but I could finally see the board again! I was destined to need glasses to aid my eyesight.
When our oldest daughter arrived concern arose immediately about her eye. As the months went past we were sent to take her to a paediatric ophthalmologist. Since that day she has seen the same paediatric ophthalmologist every six months as we continue to monitor her eye and eyelid. So far her vision is great and she does not need glasses.
It seems to be, that we are extremely dedicated to making sure our children receive regular care including vision exams, but it’s our own health that falls by the wayside and we delay exams for ourselves. Just recently Jason and I realised that we need to get ourselves booked in for exams to check our eye health. Jason is extremely overdue for an eye exam.
Image Optometry provided some great incentive for us to get booked in… Canucks tickets! Now Jason is a huge Canucks fan so he was intrigued by the mention of the fact that Image Optometry has such a great promotion going on right now. We had no excuse once we realised how easy it was to go about booking an appointment.
You can request to book an appointment online by entering your contact information, selecting what day of the week you prefer, and which location you would like to go to. There is even a comment section that you can leave a note in if needed.
There’s no reason anymore for us to fall behind in our eye exams. Evie’s just excited to get to go back and try on all the pink glasses again. She was a bit disappointed by the fact that she does not need them. I was thrilled that the staff right away knew what specialist in town she is being taken too. Image Optometry is already proving to be a great fit for our family needs when it comes to vision.

Finding an ophthalmologist that you trust is so important! As a teacher for students with visual impairments, I definitely understand the importance of a good eye doctor! And how cool that they are teaming up with the Canucks – I’d love to go to the coyotes/canucks game since I’m a big coyotes fan!
