FAWN DESIGN

We took the time to research out which stroller, car seat, and crib we wanted. The one thing we didn’t give much thought and research into was the diaper bag. Big mistake! We ended up going through multiple diaper bags. This time we put it out there on Instagram for help, we wanted your recommendations for what diaper bag we should be looking into and get. Many of you shouted praises from the rooftop for Fawn design.
We were so surprised when the bag arrived that it came in a relatively small box for a diaper bag, but it all made sense as we pulled it out. The dimensions of the bag are not small at all. It’s 13 inches high x 15 inches wide x 8 inches deep. We’ve found it to be the perfect bag size. When empty is weighs about 3 lbs making it one of the lighter bags we’ve had.
For Tamara, being plus size, she was worried about how the bag would fit on her. Would the backpack straps, and the messenger strap be comfortable and long enough? How would the bag look on her visually… too small? Really, there was no need to worry at all. With the back pack straps being adjustable there is plenty of room to find the perfect fit for wearing the Fawn bag comfortable. The messenger strap is 51 inches at it’s longest giving more than enough length to wear across the body or just over a shoulder.
We have put this bag to use daily since it arrived and we are loving it! It’s really made us wonder why we didn’t take the time to research what diaper bag we got earlier? Fawn Design, how we wish this bag was available back in 2012! We needed it then. Alas, Fawn Design has only been around since 2014. So we will forgive you and thank you for making such a great product available now!
The creators behind Fawn Design put a lot of thought into this bag in order to create a simple and stylish bag with a lot of function. We love that you can go from back pack to messenger style. Have you ever had an issue with wearing a bag back pack style, but only with one strap on a shoulder and then have it slide down constantly? We’ve yet to have that be an issue!
A big issue with diaper bags is being able to easily clean then. Fawn bags are made out of faux leather so you can simply wipe them down with a damp cloth as needed. That’s not the best part though. The inside lining of the bag is not stitched to the bag itself. You can actually pull the whole lining out to clean it and of course shake out all those crumbs that tend to collect there.
What about storage? There are 9 pockets in total on this bag! NINE! That’s plenty to be able to organize everything. There are 4 outer pockets with two being on each side of the bag, perfect for holding bottles, sippy cups, or water bottles. On the front is an open pocket you can slide things into for easy access and a zipper pocket that is the perfect size for phones or to pop your car keys into. Tamara’s large android phone even fits into this zipper pocket.
The main compartment of the bag opens with a half circle zipper giving full access to the bag so you can easily see everything inside. No more dumping out all the contents to find what you need in your diaper bag. There are 5 pockets along the inside of the bag. Each one is large enough to hold bottles, or to slide diapers into with ease. The pocket on the back is a great size to fit a tablet into if needed. We have found that our diaper bag is much more organized now!
Just what do we fit into our diaper bag on a daily basis with a preschooler and a toddler? We figured we’d share our typical list of what you would find!
What’s in our diaper bag?
– diapers and wipes
– bottles and formula
– swaddle blanket
– slippers or shoes
– toques and mittens
– change of clothes
– clutch with wallet, lipstick, etc…
– wet bag (used to hold diaper and wipes)
– toys and books
– snacks and sippy cup
There you have it. We are loving our Fawn Design diaper bag. While it is an investment piece, with how many diaper bags we went through it is something we’d say is worth. We are actually already planning to use it as a day bag for when we travel and when we no longer need it as a diaper bag. It’s the perfect all around bag.
Disclosure: Fawn Design provided us with product in order to facilitate this feature. As always all views and opinions shared are 100% our own. We are sharing with all of you because this is something we truly love… seriously, where was this bag 4 years ago!

I think the best part is that it doesn’t look like a diaper bag at all. You just look like a fashionable mom on the go.

Thank you for this post – I’m again in the market for a new bag as it’s been a few years in between babe 1 & 2. And love the idea of the back pack for on the go.. does it fit over your stroller handles well? (I’ve always had a skip hop) Or do you just tuck it underneath in your basket? Everything else, I’m sold on.
discoveryparent says
With the messenger strap it easily could go over the handles. Fawn also has hooks available so you can hang the bag by the D links. I’d just recommend keeping in mind only one stroller on the market has been rated to hold a bag on the handle.

Baby is still 4 months out for us so we haven’t done any shopping yet, but I’m planning to pick up a diaper bag soon. I think it should be my first purchase so it can double as a hospital bag. I really like how simple this one is and it actually looks a lot like my current purse!
