We had lots of family and friends placing their final guesses last night before we had our ultrasound. Our little family of three was really looking forward to finding out if we will be welcoming a little boy or little girl this fall. To keep you all in suspense though we decided to just tell close family last night after we found out.
The ultrasound appointment was at 5pm, and the best part was that it was at our house. Everything was set up and soon we were getting to see our little one on our tv screen in the living room. Evie was so excited to get to see the baby again, and so were we.
Now, what are we having? I’ll leave that up to Evie to show you.

Evie has said that it’s a girl, and that she would have a little sister since day one. She was right! We were stunned that she was right with her guess, before any of us made a guess as to what baby was. This kiddo has baby radar. She knew I was pregnant before I did, and she knew the gender.
The tech was able to determine the gender right away thanks to our baby being in the perfect position. When the tech said she knew so quickly Jason was quick to say… “So it’s a boy?”, and the tech changed the angle a bit and showed us all again. There were the lines that indicated a girl as clear as can be. There was no missing it.
We are looking forward to Evie having a little sister, and there being another girl in the house. Sorry Jason you are getting greatly out numbered. We are already planning on getting bunk beds for the bigger bedroom in the future so that the girls can share a room when they are older. I can’t wait to see their relationship flourish. While they may have their moments of disagreement, really who doesn’t between siblings, I know they will be the best of friends. I think Jason is just a little excited that I won’t be needing to buy a whole new wardrobe for this kiddo… though she will definitely be getting a few of their own pieces. I am getting rid of all things with buttons and snaps on pajamas, bring on zippers! I cannot wait for the closet to be filled with little tiny pink and purple outfits again.
For now we continue to wait for Fall, pumpkins, and October to arrive. I’m still hoping and praying this kiddo decides to come early at the beginning of the month. We cannot wait to hold her in our arms.

Diana, it was such a fun easy way to announce. Right away Evie said the blue one was for Dadda, and the pink was for baby sister. Smart cookie that one!
