Evie has been asking each morning this week if it was the day she gets to go trick or treating. Well the day is finally here, and she is incredibly excited. She was ready to go since she woke up this morning.
I wanted to share quickly her costume. Evie has known for months that she wanted to be a kitty cat, and eventually she added that she wanted a tutu. I think that part was because she is going to be starting ballet classes soon.
I kept things really simple. We found a shirt with the word “meow” and a little kitty nose with whiskers on it. My husband found the gold cat ears and bought them for her. I made the simple tutu out of tulle and a bit of elastic for the waist band. I also found leggings with gold polkadots on them.
We wanted some things to be reflective since it may be dark for a bit when we are out and about. This is why she is in a white shirt, and there is so much glitter. If someone takes a photo of her with a flash at night she just might be a glowing ball from the reflection of all the glitter. We also have several glow sticks she will be getting to wear too.
Have a great time tonight everyone, and be safe out there.

Awww, what a cutie pie. Reminds me of my oldest granddaughter when she was much younger! Treasure these moments – they go way to fast (and the grandkids grow even faster 🙂 ).
Happy Halloween and Joy-filled Thanksgiving greetings 🙂

A perfect costume for this little sweetie! Nothing over the top and stuff she can legit use again. Way to do it!

Super cute DIY! Mine went as a puppy in a tutu. The tulle has sparkles too and I think we may be finding the fall out glitter for months!
