We want to start putting together little bits of what life with daughters is like for us each month. More so that we remember what the girls were like at this time and age. They are growing up much too fast and we fear that we may soon forget little things.
Addie is one and a half now and she is all sort of personality wrapped in one. She loves big and it’s the most darling thing to see her with those she adores. If she loves you, you will have no doubt about it. Most likely because she will be clinging to your leg and won’t let go. While she is a girl of few words she has no problem communicating. She uses some sign language and a whole lot of pointing. It’s the cutest to hear her babbling away. Most recently she has started to say Minnie Mouse in her own unique way “Minn Mow”. If she spots Minnie anywhere you will hear Addie saying this over and over, she adores Minnie. She is a little book worm and will easily convince whoever is putting her to bed to read her no less than a dozen books. The biggest thing right now is how much she wants to be just like her big sister. She wants to do everything she does. She tries her hardest, but we’re in no hurry for her to suddenly be four just yet.
Evie is now 4 years old and is almost done her second year of preschool. She’s all signed up for Kindergarten and is already looking forward to going to school like all the big kids. She has been giving us a run for our money lately. Some say its life of a 4-year-old, others say she is living up to her red hair. She has recently found a major love in art. Give her a pen and paper, Magna doodle, or anything else she can create with and she is happy as can be. She has also started to show interest in learning how to write her letters, taking it very seriously and wanting them to be perfect. Recently, Evie has changed her favourite colour from pink to rainbow. Which basically means she likes them all and does not want to pick just one. Our favourite thing is probably hearing her sing along to the songs playing on the radio in the car. If she isn’t singing, she is talking a mile a minute. Being quiet is impossible for this girl.
What a journey it is being parents. We are blessed with two amazing girls. They are growing up much too fast, we can only hope to keep up with them and remember everything.

It breaks my heart to see them grow up so fast but I also want them to learn on their own ya know? Our three year old is super independent and wants help with NOTHING anymore and now our 16 month old is all oh I can do that too. Haha…just trying to enjoy every moment while I can <3

Your daughters are beautiful. Yes, savor every moment. But I can tell you being a grandparent is pretty awesome too. That’s a long ways off but just saying…

I am a mother of two daughters as well; one is 3 years old and the other is 1 years old. I am looking forward to seeing them become the best of friends. As I only have a younger brother myself, seeing them bond is so wonderful. Your girls are lovely.
