Spring is finally here and we kicked it off with an Easter party with Katherine and Codi Lynn and all our kids. The idea of doing an Easter party came up several months ago and it was so much fun seeing at all come together, especially with each of us involved creating different DIY projects and having several local businesses join in on the fun. This was just the way to start of Spring…. a little bit of sunshine, sweets, and florals.
I was incredibly thankful for Katherine and Codi Lynn being a huge part of this, planning something like this was all new to me but these two have experience with it. I love when all our kids get together because they always have a fun time. That’s probably the highlight for me is seeing them interact and the little friendships they have grow a bit more each time we all get-together.
Things like this also remind me that it is possible to have a beautiful Easter party indoors. Living in “Raincouver” we feared being rained out and decided to go with having it inside. Between the decor and the treats, everything pulled together beautifully to give it that Easter and Spring feeling. Who says you have to have an Easter egg hunt outdoors? Hide the eggs in the table decor instead!
What started with just an idea of a little get together bloomed into so much more. With beautiful outfits and all sorts of yummy treats, from yummy Love Ducks in carrot shaped bags to the cutest little white bunny cake, and all sorts of egg shaped cookies and macarons.
I am definitely looking forward to Easter even more now and I hope you might have some wonderful ideas and inspiration from our party after reading this. I cannot thank everyone enough who was a part of it, it truly was a wonderful little floral Easter party. It was amazing to have Watermelon Tree collaborate with us on this post and to have so many other wonderful local talents be included too!
