We got a little baby doll for Evie. That baby doll didn’t have any clothing with it because we got it second hand. It is kindly referred to as “naked baby”. Evie decided it needed a diaper one day and got her Daddy to put one of her new born cloth diapers on it. On another occasion she had Mommy help her wrap it up in a little blanket. This baby doll is taken all over the house, and it is always well taken care of. Today was another one of those days where we saw Evie feeding her doll a bottle and her snacks. She also tried to help baby doll rock on her rocking horse. The cutest of all was when she started “ssshhhh”-ing the baby doll while patting it on the back and rocking back and forth.
If you think your little one isn’t watching what you do, think again. We realized just how close our daughter pays attention to how we are with her, and in turn is doing all those things with her baby doll.
Yes, our children watch us and imitate us more than we know.
