We were visiting my family, and Evie was wanting to play. She has been all about scarves, and any sort of fabric that she can see-through. I had a pretty scarf on that I took off and gave to her. She started wearing it, and using it as a train behind her.
I suddenly had the idea to play the parachute game with her. You know what I’m talking about. The one you did in preschool and kindergarten. Where there was a big parachute everyone holds onto and you send it up into the air and make a big bubble. Sometimes you run under it, or tuck it under you as you sit down. You end up with a multi coloured ceiling above you.
Jason and I started waving my scarf up above Evie and bringing it down. She happily watched for a bit. Then she stood and would raise her hands to touch it. Her hair became very static clingy. When the scarf went up, her hair would be standing up on end. We loved seeing her run back and forth to each of us, under the scarf parachute. Loud squeals of glee coming from her.
It was a fun little moment. Definitely a little game we will play more often!
