Last year Evie was around 3 months old. We didn’t do too much. I find myself trying to remember what we did actually. I think there was a family get together. I know Evie wore a little sleeper with a bunny on it (back then we didn’t dress her up too much because of the reflux and multiple outfit changes). We went to church as a family and we have a photo of the three of us together. This year I am really looking forward to Easter for many reasons, and I hope to make a few wonderful memories.
It is an important weekend for us as Christians. Where we remember that Jesus died and rose again, the gospel. I am looking forward to sharing all about Easter with Evie through the help of things like resurrection eggs, and that this is a time that is about so much more than just chocolate. We are also hoping to make it out for some of the Easter conference that our church, and its fellow assemblies puts on over the weekend. Jason has never been, and it has been awhile since I have gone. We will also be going to church on Sunday of course.
Jason’s family is coming down for a visit. We are going to be doing a big family dinner at our place with both sets of Grandparents over. I am looking forward to a lovely dinner, and time spent with family. I know how much both sets of grandparents will love to see Evie collecting her Easter eggs in her little Easter basket.
That is one thing I am really looking forward to. I am hoping that the lovely spring weather continues so that we can do her little hunt outside in our yard. My Mom always put together a basket for my sisters and I, this is one tradition I will definitely be doing with Evie.
Is anyone else doing a big dinner with family and friends for Easter? Have you put together an Easter basket for your little one?
On my blogs Facebook page I asked what all everyone is putting into their little ones Easter baskets that is not chocolate. Some great ideas were shared. I compiled them all into a list here in case any one else is looking for ideas.

I love Resurrection eggs! My mom’s family does them every Easter we are together. I would like to spend some time with Seth this year talking about the true meaning of Easter. I did get some jelly beans that are allergy friendly, but we aren’t doing a whole basket because my husbands mom does that for everyone.
I love Evie’s dress!! I can’t wait for a little girl to dress up. 🙂
