We recently adventured to the local book store in search of some board books to do with pumpkins, harvest, and maybe one on Halloween. There were not many to choose from sadly, but this one got our attention.
We have read several books written by Olivier Dunrea, and really like the character of Ollie. You’ll read simple phrases that describe what is going on each page. It starts off by introducing Ollie and his friends and what they have all dressed up as for Halloween.
The images that go with each page are beautiful water colour work that the author has also illustrated for the book. Each picture depicts what is going on perfectly. This illustrations depict perfectly what you can see around throughout autumn.
This is a great book for little ones if you are wanting to introduce them to fall and going around at Halloween.
