GIRL GOTCH

When asked which I disliked the most 1) lack of sleep during the newborn phase or 2) potty training, the answer is always potty training. While it may be a strong word, I hated potty training. With it came the search to find underwear that my child liked. It was a one I did not win until recently when Girl Gotch entered my daughter’s wardrobe.
Anyone else with a child who detests shifting underwear, or underwear that feels like it pinches, is too snug, or the elastic is uncomfortable? This was the situation we found ourselves in with our oldest. First, it was the struggle to find one that fits a size 2. Second, was finding underwear that didn’t cause any of the previously mentioned reasons. One thing we noticed right away was that boys had better-designed undergarments when it came to things like not having exposed elastic on the waistbands.
It was actually my older sister who first introduced me to Girl Gotch a bit ago. Thanks to Girl Gotch, it was only recently that I received some for my daughter. I am wishing that I had gotten these when we started potty training a couple years ago because I noticed a difference and so did my daughter right away.
Recently launched was Bloom by Girl Gotch. The items in this line are made of organic cotton and you immediately can feel how great the fabric is. The other thing you can’t help but notice is that the waistband on the boxers and the briefs are covered with fabric. This means no exposed elastic! Thank you, Girl Gotch, this was one of the biggest complaints from my daughter. She hated the elastic on the majority of underwear that’s available for girls.
The pieces are all made with flat-lock seams. Between this and the soft waistband, these are a great option for children who are sensitive towards how things feel. Which, my kid always complains about every tag, string, or out of place piece of fabric. If something is not right, she knows it. There’s been no complaint since she switched to wearing Girl Gotch pieces.
Girl Gotch takes it another step further by using eco-friendly dyes and water-based inks. There is no tag, the brand name and information is printed onto the garment with the water-based inks. Something that is important to Girl Gotch is using less chemicals to help with healthier bodies. Have no fear about these pieces being next to your child’s skin.
The tank set became an instant favourite this Summer for wearing as pyjamas during the warm nights. We also realized that the boxers were actually perfect to wear over the briefs for more coverage and to have on under dresses. With a daughter who loves to twirl, run, and jump wearing shorts under dresses is a must, these were a great fit.
Mommy is ultimately very happy that to have finally found underwear that stays in place and is comfortable for her daughter to wear.
Have you found yourself in an undies battle with your child due to underwear that’s not comfy?
You’ll want to check out Girl Gotch!

I am optimistic that Girls Gotch may be just what we are looking for. My daughter will sometimes try to go without underwear because of the fight with uncomfortable undies. I appreciate that they have put so much thought into their products.

Potty training was the worst for me too. Hands down. However, it was better this second time around because I didn’t rush things. I think my 3 yo would love these comfy undies!!
Brandi Morgan says
Love this! I really need something for my toddler to help get the ball rolling. Pull ups just arenโt working since they just absorb the pee. I think something soft and comfortable will help transition out of pull ups!
