Our evening at Disney on Ice: Let’s Party was wonderful! As I had mentioned earlier it has been many years since the last time I attended a Disney on Ice show when I was a kid.
I have to be honest I was a bit nervous with taking a young toddler to the performance, but things could not have gone better. My parents joined Evie and I, both to enjoy the show and help be toddler wranglers. We arrived early so that we didn’t have to worry about finding parking, and finding our seats in rush. We had plenty of time to get settled. I’m actually glad we arrived early because we let Evie walk around the venue in an attempt of getting most of her energy and wiggles out. We also got to look at all the different Disney merchandise items for sale… there was everything from programs, and tshirts, to all sorts of stuffies and even a photo booth where you could get your photo taken with a Disney Princess or Minnie and Mickey.
This mama was in tears as soon as the show started and her daughter started cheering and exclaiming “Oh wow!” when the first performers took to the ice, and she spotted her favourite characters. Let’s Party has all of the classic Disney Characters, through to villains, and characters from Toy Story. It was a great blend of the many different faces children and adults both recognize.
The skaters are amazing! I don’t know how they do it, especially with some of the big dresses, and masks they wear. I was so impressed… and the couples who skated together? Incredible! You will love seeing the number that is done to a song from Enchanted. Seeing Mickey control the many broom sticks skating around the ice, in the classic scene from Fantasia: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice will leave you wondering just how these skaters can be so synchronized.
Disney On Ice: Let’s Party takes you through different celebrations with everything from a birthday party, or should I say a un-birthday party, and Halloween, right down to ending with a Christmas party. The production was incredible, if you are going to one of the up coming shows you will be thrilled. I am already looking forward to when Disney On Ice comes back and planning on taking my daughter again.
There are still performances on Saturday and Sunday, you can go to TicketLeader.ca to get tickets to the remaining performances. Are any of you planning on going?
Oh… I should also mention, many of the kids were dressed up as their favourite Disney character. There were lots of princesses, and even princes, as well as many Buzz Light Years. Get into the fun Disney spirit and dress up, it’s not cold in the arena.
Disclosure: I received tickets to the show in order to facilitate a review. The opinions expressed are my own.
