We were invited to experience a Rocky Mountain Flatbread Kids Birthday Party recently and we were beyond excited to go. We love eating at Rocky Mountain so we couldn’t wait to see what a kids party would be like there. We joined a group of fellow bloggers and all their kids and had a great afternoon making pizza and celebrating.

When we arrived at the Main Street Restaurant there were balloons and the tables were all set ready for the guests to arrive. The kids were able to get right into things. Some started playing at the mock pizza oven pretending to make their own pizza combinations. Others got to work colouring their paper chef hat.
The kids were divided into two groups to make sure everyone had room to get to work. While one group was making their pizzas the other group was making the special mocktail. Then the groups switched. The party hosts were amazing at keeping the kids involved through the whole party. Evie loved helping to make the mocktail, she got to pour in a juice the swirled throughout everything else and turn it into a nice pink colour.
MAKING PIZZA AT ROCKY MOUNTAIN FLATBREAD
The highlight was definitely watching all of the kids make their pizzas, even our youngest, Addie, got in on making pizza. We were able to put a highchair beside the table and she was able to see and reach everything. The staff didn’t even hesitate to let her get her hands on some pizza dough. She was covered in flour and pizza sauce by the end of it.
The kids were all taken through the different steps for rolling the dough and preparing it to go on to the paddle. We were so impressed with how well they all did. Once on the paddle, the next step was putting sauce and toppings on. The kids all held their hands out to say yes if they wanted a certain topping. A lot of the kids even went beyond their usual topping choices and picked other things.Soon enough it was time for the pizzas to go into the oven.
Soon enough it was time for the pizzas to go into the oven. The kids were not done learning how to make different food items just yet… they still needed to make dessert. While gathered around the tables the kids all took turns putting in different ingredients needed to make a berry filled ice cream treat to go with Rock Mountain Flatbreads tasty brownies. By the time they were done this, it was time to sit and eat the pizza they had made.
All of the kids enjoyed eating their pizza. Evie even wanted to save some to have at home so she could enjoy it again. It was so cute seeing how proud she was of the pizza she had made. This did get topped though with the look on her face when each kid was brought out a slice of brownie with a candle in it, and then the candle was lit and the kids each got to blow out their own birthday candle.
Evie is still talking about this pizza party which is a good sign of how much she enjoyed it. We would definitely book her a pizza birthday party at Rocky Mountain Flatbread if that is what she decides she wants for her 5th birthday this year. Everyone had a fun time and the food was amazing. Cannot thank Rocky Mountain Flatbread enough!

Pizza EXACTLY how you want it? Sounds like a dream for a kiddo! Or for me, only I want the real thing instead of a mocktail. 🙂 Looks like a great party!

Thanks for the opportunity. With other family things and Easter falling on my kids birthday this year. The birthday planning has been on the back burner for another time 🙈. This place would be perfect no matter the age! We also learned about April the Giraffe by doing the contest entries. Thanks again!
