I think with growing up on the opposite side of the bridge, I have always been used to having to drive places and I actually really like driving so when a friend of mine invited Everly and I out to her home for lunch, and so that our munchkins could have a play date, I was definitely game. I might not like the bridge toll, but I love the drive out to North Vancouver. It is so beautiful out that way.
Everly and I had a nice visit. Our daughters are just a couple days apart in age, so it is always fun to see what they are like when together. It is like they are two peas in a pod. Our girls have the same smile, and squishy face they like to make for fun. Recently Everly has started to pay much more attention to other children around her, so I really like taking her to hang out with other children. Its interesting to see how she interacts with others older than her, and those close to her age. She loved playing with Lego Duplo and chasing my friend’s son around the living room. When we went out for a walk, if we stopped walking Everly wanted to be able to see her friend so we would face the strollers towards each other. Then the girls could see each other and have a babbling conversation. We even headed down to the waters edge. There is just something about the fresh air and being near the water that is so relaxing. How I wish and dream of living in a home right near the water.
Jason had to go in to the office today, since it we only had a few hours to waste before he was done work, and Everly spent an hour and a half of that time napping in the car, I headed to Metrotown to meet him after he was done work. We originally planned on taking Everly to go get a photo taken with Santa, my Nana especially would like one and so do we as a little keep sake, sadly Santa does not arrive there until Friday. If you are thinking of having photos done and live out that way, Metro Town has a beautiful set up, the photos are done by donation to The Burnaby Christmas Bureau. I also managed to get some Christmas shopping done while we were there. I am still looking for a stocking for Everly, I might have found one because now I am kind of thinking I should have grabbed it.
We braved Ikea again, and gave it a second chance. This time though, Jason was with us so if another set of hands were needed we already had someone to help us. Sadly we did not find what we were looking for. We are trying to find some new throw pillows at a reasonable price. We did like their unique Christmas tree that was on display in the main entrance.

Wal-Mart usually has a good variety of throw cushions, for about $14. each. Nana
