SPRING BREAK IS ALMOST HERE…
The weather here has been completely unpredictable and Spring break is almost here. Which means no preschool for our oldest and having to make sure she is kept busy at home. Raincoast Books recently sent us a book and a puzzle that have proven to be great for both of our girls. We’ve been keeping them busy thanks to #PlayTestShare and can’t wait to show you the two items we are loving.
Towering Tree Puzzle
The Towering Tree Puzzle was an instant hit in our house. Evie was asking me to open it as soon as she spotted it. She has recently become very interested in puzzles. I loved the puzzle right away for its artwork alone, I recognized the illustrators work immediately as I love several of the books she’s done the images for.
The puzzle comes in a lovely box that is easy to open and is covered in the same illustrations you’ll find inside. We actually brought the puzzle with us to church recently to keep the girls busy and during the break time other children came over and started exploring and looking at all the little critters on each piece. They all immediately realized that the pieces were double-sided and that some showed different seasons from others.
With this puzzle, your kids join adorable critters as they navigate the seasons and make new friends in their towering tree. It is all about imaginative play and puzzle logic. Each piece can be placed some place else as they intersect and each interlocking branch of this innovative puzzle tells a new story, providing hours of entertainment. Adventure through this puzzle is just a branch away!
TouchThinkLearn: Fly!
My youngest daughter has claimed all books in our home. She loves being read to. So it was a nice change to have a new book but also one that she can explore as the story is interactive. What I love, is that both of my girls enjoy flipping through this book together.
This book is deceptively simple and a joyful celebration of the natural cycle of life. Each page has removable and movable characters and scenery. If you have seen TouchThinkLearn books before you’ll instantly love this one too. This is the first narrative title in the series.Truly the best part is the movable pieces that invite and involve young readers in a meaningful and multisensory participation in the story.
Truly the best part is the movable pieces that invite and involve young readers in a meaningful and multisensory participation in the story. The bold colours and simple images grab the attention of youngsters and make it easy for them to recognize the images on the page.
