If you are looking for simple but beautiful and functional pieces for your little ones then look no further than Simply Merino. With pieces that can be worn as pjs, thermal wear, and as separates you will get a lot of use out of them. You and your kids will fall in love with their Merino Wool items from Simply Merino, ours sure did!
As soon as the package from Simply Merino arrived we had a hard time getting the pieces away from the girls. They wanted to check them out right away. Just from that reaction alone, we knew we had brought something great into the house. Evie was thrilled to have the Merino Wool Sleep/Play Dress in heather grey and Addie has the Merino Wool Pyjamas in rose.
WASHING SIMPLY MERINO PIECES
Let’s talk about something right away that is often a fear when it comes to wool… laundry! We can attest to the fact that Simply Merino pieces are machine washable. It is recommended that you hang to dry, but if needed you can put them in the dryer. Even the owners of Simply Merino toss their sets into the washer and dryer, so do so without fear. Merino Wool is also naturally durable so it stands up to daily wear by kids and multiple times of being washed.
WHY MERINO WOOL?
We love that Simply Merino uses 100% New Zealand Merino Wool and is manufactured in Canada. Plus they are based out of Vancouver making them another great local business! The family behind Simply Merino is incredibly passionate about sharing why Merino Wool is such an incredible fabric and truly great for children to wear.
Merino Wool is natural and organic. It helps to regulate body temperature. That was a huge feature that got our attention because Addie loves to be warm, but we worry about her overheating. Evie is always cold, so we try to find items she can wear that help keep her warm and comfortable. The Merino Wool absorbs moisture and helps to regulate temperature because it is a breathable fabric. This put our parenting worries at ease.
We mentioned already that the girls loved the pieces instantly, this was because of how incredibly soft the Merino Wool is. Both of our girls are very sensitive to fabrics and incredibly picky. Tags on clothing are frustrating enough to deal with. None of this was a worry with Simply Merino. The fabric is so luxuriously soft. There is no itchiness when it comes to the pieces from Simply Merino. The pieces are also available in a couple different colours with dyes that have been approved to be used on organic fabrics. They dyes are also free of nasties like formaldehyde.
SOME REASONS WE LOVE SIMPLY MERINO
The pieces are also available in a couple different colours with dyes that have been approved to be used on organic fabrics. They dyes are also free of nasties like formaldehyde. The Merino Wool used by Simply Merino is also naturally fire resistant, which means they are not chemically treated to make them fire retardant. This to us is a huge deal!
Evie loves her dress so much that she asked to wear it when she went out on a mother-daughter outing recently. She was comfortable the whole time and we had no worries about her being up late and needing to change her before bed because she was already in something that also works as pyjamas… brilliant! The dress looks so cute with a pair of leggings or tights on underneath and a pair of boots. Next up we’ll be dressing Addie in just the top with a pair of jeans, or the bottoms with a hoodie. We love that you can mix and match the pieces with items already in your children’s wardrobes.
We are pretty certain that the creators of Simply Merino pieces must also sprinkle them with magical fairy dust because both of our girls sleep so much better when they are wearing their items from Simply Merino. It’s made us realize we need to get a few more pieces for them. We are loving having them for the girls to wear both during the day and at night. Multifunctional clothing… definitely need more items like that!

So CUTE! Love the functionality of the pieces and simplicity of the colours. We just layer the kids usually and unwrap as needed, but this would be so much easier for them to self regulate. Thanks for sharing!

This is the first time I have found out about this! I love Merino wool for myself, and use a lightweight sweater as an underlayer, as it keeps me so warm. I would love to have one for my niece, she is outside often and this would be perfect for her to stay warm.

I have heard of them but haven’t tried them. I think DD would love the colours, and that they help regulate heat! She often talks about how warm she is but when I check on her when she’s sleeping, she’s often curled up in a ball b/c she’s cold.
