We are into the second month of summer vacation and it’s kind of crazy to think just how soon both the girls will be in school. For now, we are soaking up all the sun and eating all the ice cream. It has been a busy, but memorable summer so far. Which is exactly what we needed. After getting Jason’s good news, it has felt like we can finally relax this summer.
Today, I wanted to keep things simple and just share a little glimpse of what we’ve been up to. If anything its really for us to remember what we did this summer. I’ve lost track of how many times I have seen the post about how you only have a certain number of summers with your kids. That keeps coming to my mind and how I want to remember this time. The girls are growing up too fast!
This summer seems to be all about getting to the water. Whether its the swimming pool, lake, ocean, or splash pad. Plus, pool floaties have been a must! I finally ordered one for the girls, a giant flounder. Then I came across one of the giant swans for a crazy deal in clearance. When we went to a pool party recently, one of my friends brought a unicorn and now added is asking we can get one of those. Sorry kiddo, there is a limit to how many floaties we can fit in the vehicle when we go out.
Now, off to make more memories as a family for the last month of summer vacation. Someone, please remind me to get what we need to make s’mores!

Your daughters look like they are having a great summer! My grandchildren are the same way. They’re water babies. Must’ve been mermaids in their past lives. Haha. This weekend, we’re having a family picnic by the lake and we’re all excited to go!
