When we started using Netflix I noticed right away the besides having lots of different shows and movies, it also has many original series. One of the most recent series to make its way onto Netflix is The Adventures of Puss in Boots.
I will be honest, I was a bit apprehensive about watching this one. Puss in Boots is one of my favourite characters to join Shrek, and I just was not sure what to expect. We all know him as being a loving, fighting, milk connoisseur feline. Just as the title says, Puss in Boots finds himself on many different wild adventures. There are several new characters, different exotic locations, all focused around different tales and legends. Episode two, Sphinx had my husband and I competing to see who could figure out the riddles of the Sphinx the fastest. I do recommend that parents watch the episodes before showing to their kids as I would say they are meant for older children. It is very creative, and imaginative, but if your child is more on the sensitive side they may not like the scenes that are a bit more scary.
Right now my daughter is a huge animal fan, and there are some very fun activities you can do with your kids to go along with a Puss in Boots theme. I really like the idea of making a fun peanut butter sandwich or a paper bag puppet. There is the odd day where getting my daughter to eat can be a battle, but having something like the idea of making a sandwich look like a cat would definitely win her over!
