We had a very full weekend, and I’m freaking out at the end of August gets closer and closer. I still feel like there is so much I want to do before I go back to work in September. Sadly with my surgery this week I’m not exactly sure how much I will be able to do, no idea what recovery will be like. I’m praying I can be pretty mobile, probably taking some pain killers, but I don’t want to miss out on the end of summer… I still want to make smores!
Any ways back to this weekend. Jason’s parents were down so we were able to fit in a little visit with them on Friday afternoon. We all ventured around the Fort in Fort Langley. Everyone else got there a bit earlier than we did, but it was still the perfect amount of time to walk around the Fort and check it all out. I’ll be doing another post with more photos later on this week.
As you all know I decided to cut my hair off and donate it (you can see those posts here and here) but while we were at the salon we realized that it was the Cloverdale Blueberry Festival the streets in downtown Coverdale were packed with classic cars. Jason’s and Evie went walking around while I had my hair cute. There were also lots of food trucks with many different food selections. We wish we had cash on us. Next year we will be prepared.
Sunday was packed with church in the morning. We are at the fun phase of Evie not wanting to sit still no matter what during church. Some days we let her walk back and forth for a bit, but often we now end up in the toddler room. Jason and I trade off for who goes up with her. After we headed out to our friend’s home to celebrate the arrival of their son. It was so good to see them, and oh their son is so sweet. Did not help my baby fever at all! Right after that we rushed over to my parent’s for family dinner. My Mom set up the table with the nice table cloth, and dishes. It was beautiful. Evie even got in on the fancy roast dinner by eating with the fancy cutlery!
Do any of you have a family dinner every Sunday? I think this is something we may need to make a tradition, or at least once a month. Hope you all had a great weekend. We sure did, busy, but great.
