Everly and I started the weekend off on Friday. Jason had been working in the office all week, and by the end of his work week I was exhausted. So Everly and I took a vote and we decided to stay in our pajamas all day. All day, except for when we ran down to the grocery store to get some stuff for making dinner, but Everly stayed in her pjs. We enjoyed “taco cake” for dinner, which I have not made in years. In fact I have not made it since Jason and I started dating over 5 years ago! It was about time to make it again! Its now being added to the list as a regular meal for us to enjoy, because we enjoyed it that much.
Jason spoiled me with a wonderful surprise. He brought home some LUSH products. I used to splurge on LUSH products a fair bit when we first got married. I loved all the bath bombs and bubble bars. I was pleasantly surprised to get a little bag with their two new Halloween products in it, just for me to enjoy. Since their products are a bit of a splurge, I do try to make them last as long as possible by cutting them into smaller pieces to use. You really don’t need the whole item at once. How fun is a red and green bubble bath?
We went to the pumpkin patch with Everly for the first time. We checked out Taves Family Farms over the weekend. We were partly on a mission to get a family photo to use in our Christmas cards this year, I think we did succeed in that as we have a couple photos I really love thanks to my Mom snapping some quick photos. Everly loved checking out the apples and pumpkins. My Mom actually did a corn maze for the first time ever, since she joined us on this outing! If you are looking for some where fun to go with your little ones definitely make the drive out to this farm. Jason has declared it the one we will be going and visiting next year when October rolls around again. We’ll probably be going to at least one more pumpkin patch this year, Everly just loves being outside and animals so much that places like this are a great outing for all of us to enjoy.
With all the cold weather we’ve been having, comes some very cold mornings. Jason and I actually bought part of our Christmas presents back in the summer. We agreed to not open them, and use them til it was just too cold in the mornings. Sure enough this weekend we had it, we did not want cold feet in the mornings any more. We pulled out the Christmas gift box to open. Everly loved seeing the bright red paper, she loves getting to play in any sort of wrapping paper. As for the gifts. We are now a Padraig family!
