Sorry this post comes a bit later than usual, but its here. This weekend we tried to keep the focus on a lot of family time, but it was busy with some activities too. Jason had to finish his work week by working 11pm Friday night to 9am Saturday morning. There was no rest for the weary as he was only able to sneak in a few hours of sleep before we headed out the door to the 1st birthday party for our friends lil guy. Everly had a lot of fun hanging out there and playing with the other children. In the evening, we decided last minute to get tickets to see The Hunger Games – A Musical put on by Surrey Christian Secondary. We got a baby sitter (which really is more like a house sitter) for Everly, but I still filled our white board with information just in case the baby sitter needed it. We headed out for a mini date night after giving them the run down. So much fun! We both really enjoyed the performances, and the adaptation from the book.
Sunday we had church in the morning. Everly was having a very off day, I blame the full moon, she refused to nap! We ended up leaving a little early in hopes of getting her to fall asleep in the car. We also had Sunday School in the evening. We still have our cowboy theme going on, which has been a lot of fun. We also try to do a dinner once a month for the kids that do come out, so last night everyone who came got to enjoy some amazing potato or tomato soup. Apparently the potato soup was from Costco, I am so grabbing some next time we go as its the perfect base for a chicken and gnocchi soup. After getting Everly to bed I wrapped up the evening with a Christmas movie, classic Disney of Santa’s Workshop, and writing some Christmas cards.
