Our weekend started a bit early, as Everly and I had a girls day out because we were on a mission, well two missions actually. We adventured into Vancouver. I tend to white-knuckle drive when in Vancouver because I do not know my way around that well. Thankfully my hubby provided great directions for me. First stop, dropping off some mugs for Mug Up. I was just about to get her out of the car seat and into the stroller when a staff member came out at the perfect time and took the heavy box in for me once they found out why I was there. Awesome!
Our next stop was to Vancouver Children’s Hospital. Wow, what a maze that was, and it seemed like everything was in God’s control because everything just worked out perfectly while there. From finding parking to having a Doctor take us to where we needed to get to. Everly loved all of the decorations they had up.
Jason and I had a wonderful date night together. We had bought some mini cupcakes the night before on our way home and enjoyed them the following day. Vanilla Sparkle is still my favourite, I love a classic cupcake. We went for dinner at White Spot and then to a movie, wasn’t a great movie but it was good for a laugh. Everly was great for Grammie-poo who came over to put her to bed and hold down the fort while we were out. Oh, at the movie theatre, we ended up getting there early because we didn’t have a long wait for dinner, we played some arcade games. We tied for air hockey.
Sunday was my actual birthday. I am now 26 years old. Wow. We had church in the morning, and just relaxed the rest of the day. Everly was being Miss Stubborn-pants and did not want any help holding her bottle while on the way home from church, sure milk spilled every where but she was happy. She has to learn some how.
The red cups are here. I actually started the weekend with a girls coffee outing. We try to meet up for one once a month or whenever it works out, we also try to have it without the kids. I also wrapped up the weekend with a walk with my little family, and another Starbucks treat. I put my Merry Birthday gift from my Mom to use for the walk. Jason went to church in the evening to help with Sunday School, while I stayed home to get Everly to bed with the time change having thrown her off a little bit. He came home with two surprises for me dinner, and a chocolate cupcakes from my cupcake making partner in crime!
I had a wonderful, laid back birthday weekend. I am looking forward to what this year has in store with me.
