Sweet Addie has been a part of our family for three months now, and it is hard to remember what it was like before she joined us. She has added so much to our family, and filled our hearts. We all love this little girl immensely. Time is most definitely flying by. Someone the other day mentioned to me how the days seem long, but the years with kids will always be very short. It’s so true.
Addie is a very mellow, easy baby. Full of so much joy, and happiness. So long as she can see what is going on, she is happy. Which means when holding her, she likes to face out. At her checkup at the doctor she was 13lbs, and I cannot remember how tall she was, need to look that up again. I will update you on that. She still fits into 0-3month clothing, but pants sometimes look like capri pants on her because it seems she’s got long legs.
She is a great sleeper come bed time, but a horrible napper. We will take what we can get though. Her big sister was the same way. So I am expecting she won’t start napping well til about 6 months old. For now she prefers to nap in our arms, and will do so for a solid 3-4 hours if she get’s to, and twice a day at that. Then bed time rolls around at 7, and she goes to bed at the same time as her big sister at 7:30pm. She wakes around 6:30/7am, but we’ve also had the odd time of her sleeping til 8am. Now if only we went to bed early enough to enjoy that long stretch of sleep.
It seems like Addie is already teething. Poor girl is drooling lots, and you can already see little white bumps under the surface of her gums. She wants to chew on everything. I am so thankful for my teething necklaces I have. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for teeth to come through; if it will be soon, or be months before teeth finally pop through. I just hope it’s not too painful for her.
Addie loves being outside, well really she loves being anywhere new to her and observing. She detests the car it seems. She will go into the car seat no problem now, but as soon as we click it into place she freaks. We are wondering if it is because all she can see is the seat. She adores her big sister, and smiles lots whenever she is around. Daddy is the one who gets the most giggles out of her. Most recently she has been trying to figure out rolling from her back to her tummy, she has tummy to back down. She is so strong that Daddy was able to let go of her and she stood on her own for a couple seconds already… help, it looks like we have another very strong baby on our hands, which probably means early walker again. It will be interesting to see what happens that’s for sure.
One thing that is of concern is that Addie has what appears to be choking spells. It is absolutely terrifying to suddenly see her flailing her arms trying to breathe. The panic in her eyes breaks our hearts. We’ve brought it up with the family doctor, and it does not seem like reflux. So now we wait to see a paediatrician.
This little girls smile is infectious, and lights up the room. You cannot help but smile back when she flashes that gummy smile at you. We are looking forward to seeing more, and more of her personality come out.

Ah, how time flies with a baby! Addie sounds so cute. I didn’t know babies at three months could start teething. I bet therefore you’re glad for yout eething necklaces and Addie is too.

She’s PRECIOUS! My daughter Diana started teething at 3 months too. She had her first tooth at four months, which I thought was super early, so I totally wasn’t prepared! We got some teething rings and her favorite, the Sophie giraffe toy.

Hi, I found your blog through a mutual friend on Facebook. I had a baby on October 20, 2015, so we have similarly aged babies! I followed you through your pregnancy and have supply issues as well. I would normally not comment but your recent post makes me feel like I have to share. My son also has choking episodes which terrify him and he acts the way you describe Addie. We put him on Prevacid (reflux medication) and that startle/choke/scream has stopped. I am not a doctor but I felt I needed to mention it since it sounds so similar and this medication has helped us. It may be worth trying.
