We’ve already shared a review on Toy Story 4 after seeing an advanced screening in Vancouver. Disney very kindly sent us a Blu-ray + DVD copy of Toy Story 4 to check out. Our whole family was thrilled when it arrived, so much, that we popped it into the Blu-ray player right away so we could see what bonus features there were on it. Toy Story 4 is one you will want in your movie collection. It’s a key part of the whole Toy Story.
This movie, Toy Story 4, wraps up everything. We knew all along that Woody is meant to take care of his kid, whether that was Andy or more recently Bonnie. What happens though when he starts to realize that things are changing. Plus the love of his life comes back; Bo Peep! Trust me on this you’ll want to have the tissues ready for the end of this one.
For us, this is why we love watching movies on Blu-Ray + DVD. We want to see the bonus features. I was surprised to see how much my kids enjoyed watching these ones. They were amazed to learn about some of the hard work that goes into making a movie like this. There is over an hour’s worth of bonus material inside! The audio commentary is a must, you’ll learn about all sorts of easter eggs hidden in the film. We loved learning how every time Bo Peep is around there is a nod to the dots of her dress often in the bokeh surrounding her.

- Bo Rebooted (6:21) – Annie Potts and some of the women at Pixar who worked on her talk about bringing her into the 21st century in Toy Story 4.
- Toy Stories (5:38) – The cast and filmmakers talk about their favorite toys and how they inspired their decisions in the film.
- Audio Commentary (1:40:03) – Josh Cooley (Director) and Mark Nielsen (Producer) lead this commentary track about the film. In true Pixar commentary fashion, they point out as many of the Easter Eggs and in-jokes as possible, which is difficult on this film due to the sheer volume of them in the antique store.
- Let’s Ride with Ally Maki (5:41) – The voice of Giggle McDimples gives you a peek behind the recording process with the director, scratch voice artist, scriptwriter, transcriber, production assistants, and more.
- Woody & Buzz (3:35) – A short look at the relationship between these two pals and the ending of Toy Story 4.
- Anatomy of a Scene: Playground (9:31) – The creative team breakdown all of the elements that went into the sequence where Woody and Bo reunite in a fun and entertaining way.

Forky is the greatest! Why? Because he keeps trying to go back to his “home” and that gets my kids in stitches. Dont want to give much away but he made the last movie so great we saw it 2 times in theater.
