TWO MONTHS OLD
Does time fly by more quickly with each child? I’m pretty certain it does. We blinked and Orie is now two months old. She was an even 12 lbs at the two-month mark and just fitting in 3-month clothing but it really depends on the brand it seems.
She has a similar reflux problem to her older sisters, but thankfully it’s not as bad as theirs was. It still makes things like driving in the car and bedtime a bit anxiety-filled for us. We have a baby monitor that tracks her breathing for us and an alarm goes if she isn’t breathing. There is also a video monitor attached to it. On one occasion now I’ve heard her and had to go running as she is choking from the reflux problem. We’re hoping she grows out of it quickly just like her sisters did.
Her personality is starting to come out as she loves to babble with all of us now. Trying to respond in her own little noises when we are talking to her. It’s the sweetest thing. One evening Evie started singing to her while in the bath and she loved it. It was so cute to hear her trying to interact and “chat” back to her sister.
We are waiting to see what colour her hair and eyes will be. It truly just depends on how the light hits her hair and eyes right now. Some days her eyes look blue and other days they look to be the darkest green like the Pacific Ocean. Her hair is another thing. When the sun hits it, she looks like she may be a redhead like her older sister, but when out of the sun it looks more like mine. Maybe she will be a brunette with hints of red?
Sleep is touch and go. We have some nights of great sleep from her where she’ll sleep 10-12 hours straight. Other evenings, she is up every couple of hours. Naps are another issue too. If ever there was a baby with FOMO, its her! She does not like to nap because she wants to see everything going on. Her naps are really short unless she is in the baby carrier or being held by one of us. I won’t complain about holding her for a nap though, I am soaking all these last moments in.
Orie truly feels like the missing piece to our family who has rounded our little crew out perfectly.
Love you so much little one!
