We noticed, thanks to their facebook page, that Aldor Acres was going to be open for a special day. They were celebrating 25 years, and all proceeds were being donated to the Special Olympics of BC. So the EA side of me, and the mommy side of me said we should go after church.
We loaded goober up and headed over. She napped on the way there, and we waited for her to wake up before getting out of the car. (That is almost the new routine if she falls asleep in the car when we are going some where, we wait and let her get her rest)
I got to go visit a farm lots when I was little. I have so many great memories of seeing cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, and so much more. I want Everly to get to have memories like that, and for her to be around animals.
Jason put her in the little fenced in area that had the bunnies for children to pet, at first she was more interested in the leaves that were on the ground. Eventually she realized there were furry little creatures running and hopping around her, a few even hid behind her. Jason even put one in her lap, she was so excited to check out the bunny.
She loved the time we spent there, and while we did not stay long, I am so glad we went. Seems we have a little girl who loves animals. There are lots of animals to visit. They have pigs, donkeys, goats, lamas, cows. Come the fall there will be even more baby animals for little ones to hold. We’ve gone here in the past as our choice pumpkin patch, I’ve always loved getting to hold the piglets. There are lots of kittens running around in the barn too come fall. I am really looking forward to going and visiting more farms this fall season.
